The FirstWave Student Ministry is a place where high school students can get connected and have a place to call their own. We strive to meet students where they are in life and make them feel welcome. It is really important to us to help students plug-in and get connected.
We offer two opportunities for High School Students each week:
Sunday Morning - High School Bible Study - 9:15-10:40am
On Sunday mornings we invite students to the Student Room upstairs to hangout, get a snack, play a quick game, see some friends, and learn about God. Here's the thing, we promise it's not boring. Our Adult Leaders make learning the Bible enjoyable and challenging, plus they put it into words that can relate to our lives.
Wednesday or Thursday Nights- BIG WEDNESDAY/LifeGroups - 6-8pm
Every Wednesday and Thursday night from 6:00 to 8:00, we offer LifeGroups for high school students that meet in homes throughout the community. This is where students connect at a deeper level with large group Bible study and small group discussions about real-life issues. We believe this is the best way to get connected in the FirstWave Student Ministry.
We meet for LifeGroups every week except the 1st Wednesday of the month. On the 1st Wednesday we have BIG WEDNESDAY from 6-8pm on either our LifePark or First Baptist Campus. BIG WEDNESDAY = Games, Free Food, Free Stuff, Live Music, A Message, and Laughter, seriously. (January @ LifePark, February @ FBC, March @ LifePark, April @ FBC, May @ LifePark)

Senior Weekend to Converge - February 3-5, 2012
High School Seniors will not want to miss this amazing weekend at the Converge Conference in Myrtle Beach, SC.
True Love Waits - Purity Event - February 25, 2012 - 6-8pm @ LifePark
This is a very special and meaningful time as students and parents gather for a night of food, fellowship, laughter, music, teaching, and a time of commitment. More information to follow.
Spring Break Serving Days - April 11 & 12, 2012 - 10am-1pm - Students will meet at First Baptist (681 McCants Drive) and will then go to a downtown community to spend time with children who are of for Spring Break.
Senior Banquet & End of the Year Party - May 23 - 6-8pm at First Baptist Mt. Pleasant (This is our FINALE to the school year & so we invite all students and their families to this special night.)
High School Summer Mission Trip - June 10-15, 2012 - Place TBA
Parents of Teens Network-
The FirstWave Student Ministry understands the importance of helping parents connect with God and connect with their children. We believe that parents play a vital role in the spiritual development of a teenager. Throughout the year we offer different events and trip recaps that build a bridge to parents, but the most important thing we offer is the Parents of Teen Network. This group meets Wednesday nighst from 6-7:30pm (except the first Wednesday of the month). The Network is real life parents who are helping one other to shepherd their child closer to God. The [PTN] will resume January 25th at 6pm in the Student Room at LifePark.

The Student Ministry at LifePark is called the FirstWave Student Ministry and we are one student ministry with First Baptist Mt. Pleasant. High School Students are the coolest people on the planet!
